1. Groovy music. Makes me want to get the board out.

   So if soul music is for ironing what other music matches with domestic chores?

   Grunge when cleaning the bathroom?

   Disco when doing the vacuuming?

2. you know I recall a conversation at playgroup, sitting on the bench outside with you and you looked at me all horrified when I said I ironed. You then proceeded to tell me it’s “so retro”, and suddenly I felt, for the very first time that I hung up my East St. Kilda attitude and took on the suburban housewife of the West.
   I no longer iron!! (except business shirts….so maybe I’ll get the chance to get my groove on)!!

   • See, I walked away from that conversation noting how nicely ironed your clothes were, and realised I needed to accept I live in the suburbs, and start ironing. The music helps.
